Heather Roy
Heather is a UX Researcher for the VA API Lighthouse Team.
I am passionate about doing research that makes a meaningful impact on people’s lives, especially communities that are underrepresented and underserved. My background is in Communication and Rhetorical Studies, with research expertise in women veterans, gender studies, and public memory.
Outside of work, I enjoy biking, taking my dog for hikes, listening to podcasts, reading, and most recently I’m teaching myself how to woodwork. In short, I have a creative mind that I express with researching, writing, crafting, painting, and anything else I find compelling and fun.
