Accessibility statement
Accessibility Beyond Compliance is a core part of Ad Hoc’s strategy that expresses our responsibility in designing products and services that do not create or contribute to systemic barriers, discriminatory attitudes, or social exclusion.
We’re committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all, which includes:
- Framing accessibility around the diversity of the human experience, not just legal compliance.
- Fostering inclusive culture and workspaces.
- Providing an inclusive and proactive approach when hiring and onboarding disabled people.
- Continually improving external and internal facing websites to meet and exceed Worldwide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.
Check out our Accessibility Playbook for more on our approach.
Measures to support accessibility
We have set the following initiatives in place to promote the accessibility of our public-facing website and working culture:
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies and working culture.
- Integrate accessibility into our digital service approach.
- Hire and cultivate a team of accessibility specialists.
- Provide ongoing accessibility training for our colleagues.
Website conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Ad Hoc’s website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Hiring
Ad Hoc believes that hiring skilled professionals with disabilities empowers our team to make access to government more equitable and inclusive to the communities we serve. As such, we strongly encourage people with disabilities to apply to our open positions.
Our recruitment team routinely provides applicants with assistive technology, captioned video interviews, and many other tools/techniques to ensure equal access to an informative, engaging, and positive interview experience.
Please contact recruiting@adhocteam.us to let us know how we can best support your interviewing experience. Our trained staff looks forward to hearing from you.
