Transform Public Services with Ad Hoc and AWS
At Ad Hoc, we partner with AWS to provide government agencies with secure, scalable, and modern digital solutions.
Leveraging AWS’s powerful cloud infrastructure, we accelerate the delivery of mission-critical services through our expertise in Digital Services, Data Architecture, and Application Development. From transforming public-facing platforms to building high-performance data systems for real-time insights, Ad Hoc ensures faster time-to-value for the agencies we serve.
With three service offerings: Digital Services, Data Architecture, and Groundwork, we’re proud of the ways we’re maximizing impact at scale with AWS technology.
Digital services
Ad Hoc leverages AWS cloud infrastructure to transform government services into scalable, user-centered digital solutions that enhance agency operations and improve citizen engagement.
Why Ad Hoc?
On behalf of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Ad Hoc launched a site for insurance issuers to validate drug and provider coverage data on HealthCare.gov. Starting from from zero lines of code, CMS received a live, minimum viable product (MVP) serving pilot users in under a month by leveraging AWS scalable cloud infrastructure
At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ad Hoc quickly built a COVID-19 response dashboard to help measure the trajectory and success of the VA’s digital services. Our expertise in AWS ensured that the dashboard was resilient, cost-effective, and capable of meeting the unique demands of the moment.
Platform Development
Amazon ECS and AWS Fargate
Used for containerized application deployments, ensuring efficient orchestration and scalability for mission-critical applications.
CloudFront and API Gateway
Handles content delivery and secure API management for external-facing applications, improving performance and accessibility across platforms.
Lambda
Automates event-driven tasks and back-end processes, enhancing the responsiveness and flexibility of our platforms.
Digital Service Operations
CloudWatch and CloudTrail
Monitors and logs application performance, resource usage, and compliance, providing real-time insights and proactive alerts.
EventBridge and Lambda
Automates tasks and workflows, triggering responses based on system events to enhance operational efficiency.
GuardDuty and Security Hub
Detects threats and monitors security compliance across AWS environments, ensuring platforms meet federal security standards.
Data architecture
Utilizing AWS’s data services, we build secure, high-performance data architectures that empower customers to store, analyze, and visualize data, supporting mission-critical decisions.
Ad Hoc leverages the power of AWS to build secure, scalable data architectures that enable government agencies to harness the full potential of their data. Our approach to data architecture is designed to meet the unique needs of public sector organizations, ensuring that they can store, analyze, and visualize vast amounts of data with confidence. By utilizing AWS’s advanced data services—such as Amazon S3, Redshift, and Glue—we create architectures that are not only resilient but also optimized for performance and cost-efficiency.
Whether it’s providing real-time insights through data analytics or ensuring the secure storage of sensitive information, Ad Hoc’s AWS-powered solutions allow agencies to make data-driven decisions that support their mission. Our experience includes building data platforms for federal agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, ensuring compliance with government regulations while delivering powerful analytics capabilities.
Data Infrastructure
Amazon S3
Core storage solution for handling large datasets, including cross-region replication and transfer acceleration for efficient, scalable file management.
Amazon RDS and DynamoDB
