For over 18 years, I’ve managed technology projects of various forms.
In the enterprise e-commerce/retail space, that included consultation to Restoration Hardware, Tiffany & Company, TJ Maxx, Crate and Barrel, Ann Taylor, Guitar Center and many others. In addition to consulting, I’ve worked directly for Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies and Micron, early on developing software systems and later guiding projects with some composition of software, infrastructure and services.
For the last 4+ years, I’ve used those same skills to serve amazing teams in civic tech at various agencies, including the DoD, CMS, DOL, Lawrence Berkeley National Labs (LBNL) via the DOE, and really enjoyed working on inter-agency problems in the wildland fire portfolio for the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC, which includes and serves the Forest Service (USDA), BLM, DOI and BIA).
I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems(CIS), an MBA from Colorado State with an emphasis on Finance and IT, and the following certifications: • PMP (Project Management Professional) • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) • ITIL Foundations (a library of IT best practices)
I was lucky enough to travel the world while serving in the U.S. Navy (never once deployed on a ship) and still like to break away and survey the world’s offerings when time and money allow. Whenever I can, I play in and document good times and beautiful scenery in the mountain ranges of Colorado and the Mountain West with friends, my wife, my 4 kids and our many animals.
